She was running late because of circumstances out of her control. A traffic accident on I-10 caused the smooth flow of traffic to come to a crawl. She’d been looking forward to this day for weeks, and knew things were on a tight timeline.
We were sitting in the middle of absolute chaos. The small boutique cake shop we were shooting in went from empty to packed-house, standing room only within minutes. We were moving things in and out of our way while delicately dancing around the other guests in the store.
It could have been a disaster.
It could have been crazy stressful.
It all could have negatively impacted the entire situation.
But it didn’t.
Instead of reacting, getting flustered, or worrying about the stresses leading up to this moment, she instead took the time to pour into others. She had asked a previous client and friend to attend the session to stand in as a client for her branding photos. And as our shutters clicked, she sat and encouraged her. She listened intently with a smile on her face while they caught up. And she gracefully made the most of the situation by choosing to embrace the craziness and make the most of the moment.
When Ashley asked us to take branding photos for her new website, we were beyond excited! Having someone trust us to represent their image was a huge responsibility that we were honored to accept. When Ashley arrived and stepped into that chaos, we were more than impressed with her ability to tune everything else out and focus not only on completing the photos, but to also positively impact the lives of everyone around her. And it didn’t end in the cake house. The entire evening she continued to embrace the friends that supported her by participating in the session, and even encouraging us all evening! We suppose that’s why she is perfect for the Leadership and Lifestyle Coaching profession she’s in!
Ashley, you have such a sweet soul, and we left our time with you feeling so encouraged! Your positivity is contagious and the way you consider others left an impression on us that we will not forget. We wish you the absolute best with your business and can’t wait to see the amazing things you will accomplish!
