You always remind me how hard you pursued me. I could never forget it because you. were. relentless. And you know what? I’m so thankful you never gave up.
You’re my best friend and the one I can always count on being on my team.
You burn my steaks. My chicken. My salmon. My bacon…pretty much any food we eat that involves meat because you know that that’s the only way I will eat it. And you do it even if that means you have to leave your meat covered up and off to the side so you can wait for me to start eating.
You’re my biggest encourager and the constant voice that’s telling me “We’ve got this! We can do it!”
You jumped on board to my crazy idea of you quitting your day job so that we could create a husband and wife photography team and you didn’t even hesitate. Ok, so maybe you hesitated slightly. You didn’t even know the meaning of the words aperture, shutter or ISO but that didn’t stop you. You learned it. Owned it. And now we’re living our DREAM!
You’re the best dad that I ever wished or prayed for our future kids. I’ve never had to be the only one to face sleepless nights because you’ve always taken your fair share (sometimes even more) of getting up with them.
You constantly push Brody to see the best in himself. To see how strong, brave and courageous God made him to be and even though he might not fully realize it right now, he’s so lucky to have that. You spend quality time with him and get so excited to teach him new things and take him on new experiences – I’m so thankful for that.
You consistently tell Paislee how beautiful she is. How kind and sweet she is and what a special girl she is that God blessed us with. She gets all her singing and music skills from you and I love that bond you two have together. She’s so lucky to have a dad who paints her nails (even if they come out a little clumpy), plays tea party (or coffee shop), and who lets her check your heartbeat over and over just so she can feel like Dr. McStuffins.
You love me through my good, my bad, and my ugly. You’ve seen me at my weakest points and at my strongest and still love me the same. For that I feel like the luckiest girl.
You always tell me how pretty I am – even when my hair is pulled up as high as it can go on my head and I’m wearing sweats and THAT is love! When I question my ability to do something or when I doubt myself, you’re there cheering me on and reminding me that I CAN do it. I wouldn’t be where I am today as a photographer, as a creative and as a business owner with out you.

I remember back to when we were dating (especially when we were dating long distance) and I wrote you letters to remind you of how much I love you and all the things I love about you. It seemed like I did that in any free time that I had and back then, that was A LOT more time than it is now. I never want to be too busy to remind you of how much you mean to me. Life has changed so much for us over the 11 years we have been together. I’m so thankful for the journey the Lord has brought us on over all these years and I couldn’t be any more excited to see where He’s taking us together next!
Brody, Paislee and I are so lucky to have you. And even though I constantly tell you it’s NACHO cheese, there’s no one else I’d rather share my chips and queso with. Forever.
