We say it all the time but we have so much fun doing what we do for a living! And sometimes we just have to pinch ourselves to convince us that it’s real! Especially when we have the privilege of working with other amazing creatives like Jessica from Ruze Cake House! When we started talking about working with her for her October Halloween themed macaron shoot, we were completely floored by the idea! Ruze Cake House consistently pumps out intricately amazing wedding cakes, and their storefront is always stocked with the most fresh and tasty macarons, cookies and other sweet treats!
If you have visited Ruze Cake House or even if you follow along with them on Instagram, it’s easy to see that Jessica is always able to elevate any occasion, and Halloween was no different! Leading up to the shoot, we were so excited about all of the ideas she kept sharing with us and we especially loved the ‘pretty’ version of Halloween with the florals, soft pinks, whites, and blacks! All of the details were spot on from the white skeleton hand with a perfect pink manicure to the hand-made chocolate spiders crawling on soft pink cotton candy webs – Halloween has never been so cute! Also, have you ever seen a white chocolate skeleton head with cotton candy coming out of the top?! Neither had we! We have so much appreciation for the fine details in a session which is why photographing these amazing treats, was such a treat.
Our personal favorite of the entire session was the Butterfinger macarons. And not just because they looked amazing. Because they tasted amazing too! The flavor of the Butterfinger and the texture of their macaron is a match made in heaven!
We hope you all have a fun Halloween, and we’re not trying to trick you, but scroll through these delicious photos and let this blog post serve as your first Halloween treat of the day!!
