We typically think of wreaths as pretty decorations to hang on our front door or style around the house depending on the season. Or should we say, that’s what we used to think of! When Nikki approached us about photography for her custom handmade wreath company, Bloom Valley Market, we were blown away by her ideas and the different uses she had for wreaths! Her work is amazing to begin with, and her desire to focus on individual custom pieces is what drove our work together! We worked to capture her wreaths for marketing and potential publication purposes, and fell in love with a few wreaths we didn’t want to return!!
One of our favorite creative ideas Nikki had was using the wreath in a hoop to demonstrate it’s ability to be used in weddings or other special occasions! The gold hoops combined with her incredibly creative eye for styling were A.Ma.Zing! Seriously guys, you’ll freak when you see how gorgeous these things are, especially when juxtaposed with nature. They were completely stunning!
Nikki also started making flower crowns which we were huge fans of! We love love LOVE flower crowns, and having one that lasts forever is a great idea! If there was one piece we certainly didn’t want to give back, it was her mobile wreath for a nursery or toddler room! We hung it in Paislee’s room to capture some photos, and even she was sad to see it go!
