You’ve probably already seen some of the fun we’ve had with lifestyle blogger Jacqui Kruger! But we’re pretty sure we topped it all during our recent shoot! Seriously, we love what we do and feel so blessed to call photography our career, but every once in a while something extra fun happens that takes it all over the top!
When we arrived at the Kruger’s house, Paul had hung an enormous American flag on the back porch. Bigger than the model home flags you see dotted across the valley – it was huge! Jacqui had planned for a Fourth of July look and the flag made for the perfect backdrop.
She even invited Erica to be a part of the photos and let her choose a fun jumpsuit from her closet to pair with the look! Jon, well…he was in the pictures too. Sort of. You see the large flag caught the breeze and nothing we tried was able to hold it from blowing uncontrollably. So Jon is in the photos too…in the background…behind the flag on all fours holding it in place! Now you all have an inside look into how we divide up our work! 😉
And a celebration isn’t complete without a little bubbly, right?! This was a first for all of us, but Jacqui popped the cork and held her thumb over the top of the bottle while she gave it a little shake. Or two. Or ten. Maybe there were a few too many shakes?! We laughed with surprise as it literally exploded all over the backyard, but made for some crazy fun and memorable photos to celebrate with today!
We hope your Fourth of July celebrations are just as much fun and that you enjoy time with family and friends as we celebrate the freedom we have in the greatest country on earth!
[…] When she walked up to us in this white jump suit, I leaned over to Jon and told him I’d have my eye out for the link on it in her blog! I’ve been hooked on jumpsuits lately – they’re a great way to dress up and still be functional when shooting – and this one wowed me! Jacqui looked beautiful and we loved how the look came together on the blue bench with the tote full of flowers! Side note: my dream came (partially) true when I wore it for photos with Jacqui on the 4th of July! […]
