Welcome to our Friday Top Five! If you are new to our Friday Top Five blog series, hop over to the very first one, Part 1 to start! It will help you understand our Friday Top Five and the fun we like to share here!
- ‘O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!!’ – Yup. We really did just do that before November! Why? Because Erica is a Christmas fanatic and over the years it’s slowly started to rub off on Jon! We set up our Christmas tree this week along with all of the other fun Christmas decorations!! Jon quit trying to make Erica wait until after Thanksgiving years ago, so now we all just love it and have fun!! 🙂
- We read a book. Sounds uneventful, we know. But we read it to our kids. Snuggled up on the couch as a family and enjoyed some uninterrupted family time that we absolutely needed.
- We spent time setting up a nativity scene with our kids and explaining what Christmas is really all about. It was the first time Paislee was able to understand it all which was so sweet to witness!! And thank goodness, because prior to that, she was running around the house singing ‘Happy Birthday Christmas Tree!!’
- Both of us feel a little bit of relief this week feeling united in a decision we made. We’ve been searching for a church to call ‘home’ for a while now, and this week really felt like that was established!
- Erica was selected to be a chaperone for Brody’s first school field trip!! It was a big deal, because thinking of our little guy going off on a field trip without one of us seemed too much for us to handle! There were so many volunteers that his teacher had to hold a drawing, and she was selected!! Tempe Center for Arts – here we come!
