One of the things we love about what we do is building relationships with our clients. Some of those relationships start for the first time when we meet for a session. Other times, it’s a continuation of a relationship that we’ve had for years. Enter the Brockman and Regnaert families. There is something special about childhood relationships, especially ones that continue into adulthood. We both grew up with these families in our church. We were a ‘crew’. Jon has great memories of terrorizing the neighborhood with firecrackers during sleep overs with the boys at Jonathan’s house. Erica remembers their home always being open for stop-ins and hangouts! Seeing them all together as a whole family, each now grown with their own individual families was so sweet and nostalgic.
It’s isn’t easy to come up with words to describe just how much fun we had with them for their family photo session! For a group of eleven, they coordinated outfits for their session like pros! The ladies all had freshly manicured nails and professional makeup. Everyone’s outfits were completely on point. And the best part is…none of that mattered. All we could see were their sweet spirits, their generosity, and their total love for one another.
Carlos and Cindy have left an amazing legacy that you can see with your own eyes. Watching Jessica and Gavin with their girls, Isabella and Milania showed us the deep rooted love that was instilled in Jessica by her parents. Seeing the pride Jonathan has for his two handsome boys Calvin and Oliver and the sweet love he has for his baby girl Jovie proves the strength of the loving household he was raised in. And getting all three couples in front of our cameras alone was the sweetest thing.
There’s something incredibly special about a mother and father who show an example of love to their children. Because that example of love sets a standard. A standard of love and leadership that Jessica found in her husband Gavin. A standard of love and support that Jonathan found in Laura. And a standard of love that will be passed on to Isabella, Milania, Calvin, Oliver and Jovie.
To the Brockman’s and Regnaert’s: we absolutely love your family. Our time together was long overdue! You were all amazing and it meant the world to us to take these photos for you!
