Oh. my. goodness. I hope you’re ready to see something amazing, friends! We’re still looking at this wondering if it’s for real – and we took the photos! And before you think we’re sounding a little conceited, it’s not just because of the photos themselves – it’s because of the amazing talent of our client!
Juni (Junior) Gutierrez was a contestant on Season 10 of American Ninja Warrior and spends his free time making levitation photos! When we found out we’d be photographing a real life Ninja Warrior, we were a little beside ourselves. We are die hard fans of the show and Brody especially thinks everything the ninjas do is incredible!
What was even more impressive than his American Ninja Warrior resume, was his levitation skills. Now before you get to thinking weird things about casting spells and levitating, we’ll let you peek behind the curtain into what we mean by levitation photography. There is no chanting or incense required to make these! Instead, it’s a combination of brute strength and total body control. Juni starts most of his moves in a push up position and launches himself into a pose that looks un-human when frozen in our cameras.
We had so much fun traveling all over Tempe hitting location after location while Juni launched his body into walls, into the air, and inevitably hitting the ground. To us, that seemed like the worst part, but Juni has total control over his body with his hostelry in breakdancing and knows the art of falling well.
