We aren’t exactly what you’d call chefs. And it’s a problem. Both of us love fresh, clean foods, but neither one of us enjoys anything about the process of preparing it. Or cooking it. Or cleaning up after it. You get the idea.
This week we started off on a different foot though. We kept finding ourselves discouraged by trying to maintain our commitment to exercise and clean eating because we had nothing prepared for our busy days. So we decided to do something about it and spent the entire day Sunday watching the White Sox cream the Tigers while prepping chicken, carne asada, fajita veggies and chopped veggies for the week! We’ll be honest, it was exhausting, but we’re definitely reaping the benefits already!
We must have been just a little inspired after spending another day in the kitchen last week photographing new recipe’s for Chris + Heidi Powell’s TRANSFORM App. Working out of our home kitchen for these shoots is fun, despite our lack of excitement about cooking. We crank up Thomas Rhett on Pandora Radio and get to work! We cooked, plated and photographed 11 recipe’s in one day! It was a little bit of an undertaking, but we loved the results! The best part about these recipes are that they are clean and macro friendly…not to mention pretty darn good!
Take a look at the photos below, and let us know which one makes you want to put on your chef’s hat!
