We’re pretty sure every little girl grows up thinking she’s going to be a dancer at some point in their life, right? Kind of like little boys growing up wanting to be firefighters or astronauts. It’s just something we are hard wired with. The thing is, most of us don’t actually grow up fulfilling that dream. But Avery Gay isn’t most of us.
When we learned we would be working with Avery for the upcoming issue of North Scottsdale Lifestyle Magazine we (especially Erica) were besides ourselves with excitement! Avery, at only 14 years old, dances under the international spotlight winning multiple awards and has been on shows such as Little Big Shots, So You Think You Can Dance, and World of Dance!
And as impressive as her resume is, there is a whole lot more to the story. One of the reasons Avery is being featured is because of the work she does outside of the dance studio. Avery is raising money for underprivileged girls in Mexico by selling leotards. In partnership with a studio in Mexico, Avery is donating the proceeds to fund girls who are pursuing dance like she has. We loved learning about how Avery is using her platform to help others! See more of this amazing dancer, philanthropist and person in her photos below!
