The sun had finally set just enough to give us the perfect golden light we had been waiting for. The desert floor glowed with dreamy light that had our photographer brains running in overdrive. The afternoon heat had everyone uncomfortably warm, and we wondered how long and how far we could take their session. Just around the corner was a beautiful boulder field that we were dying to get them on. As we got closer, we asked for what we thought was a tall order – for Jacqui to climb onto a small flat boulder in her dress and stiletto heels. To our surprise, not only were they all for it, but they picked the tallest, most difficult boulder to stand on – the one we had secretly hoped for! To say we were impressed would be an understatement, but that’s when Paul agreed to lift Jacqui into the air, boulder and all, for the most perfect sunset photo!
We thought that there was no way we could top that moment, but as we walked them down to the river bank, Erica had a chance to hold Arabella again while Jon took stunning couple’s photos own the edge of the water. We always love the juxtaposition of the beauty of the desert with flowy dresses and tailored suits, and Paul and Jacqui didn’t disappoint!
We seriously love these two! We’ve had so much fun getting to know them over the last six months as we’ve worked to launch Jacqui’s blog, JacquiKruger.com! They have been the most warm and welcoming people since day one, and we’re happy to call them friends! Take a look at some of their beautiful family portraits below!
