It seems like every other time we are on a shoot, we get asked the same question. Every time we give the answer, people seemed super surprised! It happened just the other day. We were in the middle of a branding session when one of the men noticed Erica’s camera bag and started asking questions.
We started out with the manufacture’s camera bags that came with our cameras. They didn’t hold very much equipment and weren’t pretty to look at, but they were great for us. They did what bags were supposed to do – they held our stuff! Jon really felt like his resembled a boring elementary school lunch box, but they kept our gear safe and sound for a long time.
We knew we needed to upgrade though when we started running out of room. And that was really the biggest problem. The bags we had held a camera body and a lens or two, but that was the max! Add to that the fact that they weren’t very versatile as we could only use them as camera bags. And their boxy design made it difficult to carry them around and shoot at the same time if we needed to.
So we started hunting for something that would work a little better to meet our needs. We wanted bags that would hold more gear, be multi functional, and yes – be a little more pleasing to the eye! 🙂
That’s when we found Kelly Moore bags! We instantly knew that they checked the ‘stylish’ box off our list, but would they meet our other requirements? Um…yes, big time! These bags were MADE for photographers! Both of our bags can hold a camera body, up to 3-4 lenses depending on size, and all of our other accessories. Jon’s is deep enough to hold a 70-200mm, which is ideal since that’s a go to lens for him. And Erica’s seems like it never runs out of space! She can easily hold her camera body and 4 lenses!

And when it comes to versatility, these things really get great! They have a removable padded basket that allows you to empty all of your camera items in one motion and utilize the bag for anything else! Jon will use his for his computer and tablet, and Erica can use hers as a regular hand bag. They’ve seriously thought of everything!
If you are looking for a more versatile camera bag, we couldn’t give these Kelly Moore bags any higher of a recommendation. They are stylish, well made with great materials, and are crazy versatile for any situation.
