Welcome to our Friday Top Five! If you are new to our Friday Top Five blog series, hop over to the very first one, Part 1 to start! It will help you understand our Friday Top Five and the fun we like to share here!
- Sometimes the best way to kick off a week it to get together with good friends! So that’s exactly the way we chose to start ours! If you know anything about us, you know how much we love chips, salsa, and queso…white queso! Combine the chips, salsa and queso from Blanco Taco with our good friends the Williams, and you’ve got a winning combination! We love this family and it’s been fun being lifelong friends and now having kids that are the same ages to play together! And that may have been the most entertaining part…after giving the kids sugar highs from stopping by Ruze Cake House, we have a crazy bunch on our hands!
- If you’ve been following along, you know that Brody has been on Fall Break from school! We had such a fun week, and Tuesday it felt weird sending him back off to school. BUT, we were thrilled when he brought home his report card showing straight A’s! To top it off, he got ‘clipped up to purple’ on the behavior chart in class that day meaning he had great behavior! So of course, we turned that into a great reason to go to Menchie’s for some fro-yo!
- Our kids love to dance. Just like Jon. Except that are pretty good at it, and Jon is not. So we have family dance parties on a regular basis. This week was special though. Brody came up with some new dance moves that had us all rolling on the floor laughing!
- This may seem silly and small, but we LOVE iced tea from Wildflower! So it was a huge highlight of our week to stop in for lunch and their iced tea! We love it so much, that when Erica realized she drank a lot of her tea just walking from the restaurant to the car, she made Jon run in and fill it back up!!
- We successfully hand washed and detailed both cars! It was fun letting Brody and Paislee help out, and we loved having the extra little hands! Erica’s (the primary family vehicle) took hours…literally…hours! Apparently we’ve been a little too go-go-go! It felt great to have them both clean and fresh! Then, they both got trashed with desert rain!! But, hey! It was magical for a day!
