Welcome to our Friday Top Five! If you are new to our Friday Top Five blog series, hop over to the very first one, Part 1 to start! It will help you understand our Friday Top Five and the fun we like to share here!
• We kicked the week off right this week!! It is finally beginning to reach enjoyable temperatures here in Arizona, so we are getting outside to enjoy it as often as we can! We visited the Gilbert Farmer’s Market with some good friends and ate too many donuts and drank too much coffee while watching the kids play together outside! Paislee got a ‘tattoo’ on her arm like her Papa at the face painting booth and loved every second of it! Brody chose to get a balloon animal made (of course…the line that was a mile long!) and left with a super fun Ninja Turtle balloon. When did balloon animals go from swords and dogs to something so cool as a Ninja Turtle?!
• We thought the Farmer’s Market would be our ‘thing’ for the day, but then we got all crazy and decided to be completely spontaneous. Erica’s family had made a trip to Tucson, AZ to visit her Grandma and Uncles, but the plans were made after we had already been set to go out with friends. So…we ran (literally) into the house, changed the kids, and burned rubber down to Tucson!! It had been 2 years since we were all together and we had a great time seeing Erica’s Uncle Bob (Fernando as he likes to be called), Gerrick, and her Grandma Ellen!
• This week we switched phone carriers! Big deal, right? But to us it was for some silly reason. It was a decision we literally anguished over for months before pulling the trigger. Sometimes you just gotta take a good deal when you see one! Our new carrier hands out rewards to their customers often, and this week it was a $2.00 Dunkin Donuts card! We got to sweeten up our Wednesday morning with iced coffees and a pink ‘parkles’ (sprinkles) donut for Paislee!
• On Thursday Erica and Paislee went on a scouting trip to Boyce Thompson Arboretum with two other local photographers and their kiddos. We love scouting new places, finding ideal shooting locations, and making new friends!
• Last but definitely not least, we got to watch our not-so-little boy accomplish a huge goal of his and I think it might have been a better feeling for us than it was for him. He has tried riding his bike without training wheels several times but has let the fear of the ‘letting go’ get to him every time. On Tuesday night, after a rough evening of trying to learn, he decided to pray and ask Jesus to help him and on Wednesday night, he was cruising through the neighborhood without any holding back!! The joy on his face was priceless!
Beautiful Pictures Love them all !
