Whew! What. A. Week. There’s no other way to say it than, this was a crazy-busy week for us! It’s a great problem to have. It’s great because the busyness was a result of more business and new connections being made, but the problem is just that sleep felt like a luxury this week. Despite feeling a little extra puffy-eyed this week and missing the warmth of our bed, we are excited to share our Friday Top Five with you guys!
- We went on our second family hike of 2018. As we were hiking the hieroglyphic trail at the Superstition Spring Mountains, we started talking about how cool it was that the last time we hiked that trail we were dating and now we had our kids out on that trail with us! It doesn’t get much better than sunny and 75 degrees, and we are determined to go out and soak it all up before the summer hits!
- Monday was a day off from school for Brody so Erica took the majority of the day off to spend time with him and Paislee. They enjoyed a playdate at the park with one of Erica’s childhood friends, and went to Nekter for lunch! A Pink Flamingo?! It doesn’t get much better than that!
- This might sound weird…but we didn’t have to go grocery shopping this week! We made use of everything we still had from last week’s grocery trip! It makes us both feel super accomplished when we know we haven’t wasted food and that ate what we already had! That’s a big win! There’s nothing that stresses Erica out more than feeling like we’ve wasted money or food.
- We recently got off track with having one night off each week due to the holidays and our schedules being off, but we got back to that this week and spent Wednesday night watching both new episodes of This Is Us! That show has won us over…and then some! But it’s difficult to type that without tearing up from the emotional rollercoaster it’s had us on. We’re still hoping and believing that the Pearson family is a real life family who we’ll get to hug and meet someday!
- We bought Jon guitar strings. Pretty awesome, right?! Just kidding! It’s the reason we needed to buy him new guitar strings that made this into our Top 5 this week! He starts playing on the worship team at our new church this weekend!! It’s been over 6 months since he has been able to play and we are so thankful that he has been given the opportunity to lead worship at our new home church!
If you had a crazy-busy week like we did, then we hope you’re finding relief in it being Friday and only one day away from the weekend! Thanks for reading along and following our Friday Top Five series and we hope you have a nice and relaxing weekend!
