It’s Friday!! Most Friday’s we share our Friday Top Five, a recap of the week we’ve had. If you are new to our Friday Top Five blog series, hop over to the very first one, Part 1 to start! It will help you understand our Friday Top Five and the fun we like to share here!
- Monday brought us a holiday and the first official day of summer break for Brody! We are getting used to juggling our schedule with TWO kiddos at home now, but we love having Brody home with us! We tried to take Brody and Paislee to the splash pad Monday afternoon, but were disappointed to see that it was closed! Since our two kiddos had their hearts set on playing in the water, we crashed Erica’s sister’s new community pool! They weren’t technically there with us, and we didn’t technically have a key, but we DID have a very generous lady who held the gate for us so that we could enjoy cooling off for a while!
- We were so excited on Tuesday to take a break from work to spend some time with Erica’s cousin Nicky! She was in town visiting from Pennsylvania, and it had been years since Erica and Nicky had seen each other!
- Wednesday was a loooooooooong, fun filled day! We spent the first half of our day with Jacqui Kruger shooting more articles for her new blog! (P.S. Her blog is launching soon and we can’t WAIT to show you all of the fun we have been having! That evening, we also did something we haven’t done in about a year…we went to dinner…together….alone….with no kids! We turned off our ‘business brains’ as best we could and just enjoyed time together. We had the perfect excuse to sneak away as we were attending a photography get together at the ShowIt offices. We could say so many things here about how amazing ShowIt is and how great it was meeting up with Amy and Jordan (a photography couple that we look up to so much!) Yet one of the greatest take aways from the evening was connecting with the community of other entrepreneurs and photographers that are in various stages of their journey. It’s encouraging to look at those who are doing amazing things, and just as fulfilling to speak with others who are just getting started and be able to speak life and advice into their own journeys! It was a great night that we won’t forget!
- We took off Thursday morning for our ‘summer home’ in Show Low. We LOVE getting up north as often as possible and visiting Erica’s parents. We pulled out of the valley at 8:30AM and it was 86 degrees, already warmer than the daytime high in Show Low. So if you need us, we’ll likely be laying in the same hammock we’re typing this post up in right now!
- We are SO incredibly excited going into this weekend, because next week brings about some exciting new changes! We’ve been hard at work on our business rebrand, and we can’t wait to show you our new website! As many of you know, over the last six months we’ve transitioned our business to focus on business and personal branding photography and lifestyle photography. We can’t wait to share more about what that means for our business!
