Welcome to our Friday Top Five! If you are new to our Friday Top Five blog series, hop over to the very first one, Part 1 to start! It will help you understand our Friday Top Five and the fun we like to share here!
- Have we mentioned that we love Christmas yet?!? This week we painted ornaments with Brody and Paislee, made peppermint hot chocolate, and drove around different neighborhoods listening to Christmas carols and looking at Christmas lights!
- We found out that apparently people don’t spend time slowly driving through neighborhoods looking at Christmas lights anymore. We aren’t sure which was more fun, looking at the lights with the kids, or watching people starting and wondering what we were up to!!
- We unpacked our suitcases and completely washed and folded all of our laundry. That may not sound like a big deal, but coming off the busy season we’ve had combined with the traveling we have been doing – it was a BIG deal!
- We spent Thursday night pulling all of our Christmas movies out! The kids picked their favorites and we spent the night snuggled up on the couch with popcorn and apples watching Home Alone to kick it all off!
- If you’ve been watching our stories on Instagram, you know that this year we took the plunge and got our kids the Elf on the Shelf. His first appearance was making snow angels in sugar on the kitchen counter. Brody and Paislee did a great job keeping their hands away until just before bath time. We found Paislee running her fingers through the sugar and licking them clean!
If you can’t tell, we LOVE this time of year! What are some of your favorite Christmas traditions?
