This past weekend we kicked off our fall family sessions and started with the super cute Richardson family! Chauncey, Amber, and their beautiful daughter, Kennedee, met us at Papago Park for a beautiful desert session! This is one of our absolute favorite locations because it shows off the Arizona desert so well and it doesn’t steal the attention from our awesome clients like the Richardson’s!
We loved having the opportunity to take family photos for them! Erica has known Amber for years and it’s really special when your lifelong friends become your clients! Erica grew up in church ever since the day she was born and her parents used to be youth leaders. One of their FAVORITE students was always Amber! Erica grew up with Amber coming in and out of her house for different youth group activities, going on youth camping trips with her (perks of being a youth pastor’s kid), and going to week-long church camps that Amber always went to as well! When you’re a young girl, older girls have such an influence on you, and Erica specifically remembers watching Amber and thinking she was so cool! She might have even thought about WAWW (What Amber Would Wear) when picking out her clothes for church!
When Jon and I were dating, we attended Amber and Chauncey’s wedding! Over 5 years ago Erica photographed their family for the first time when Kennedee was just two years old! Seeing them now after so many years was so fun and we love how down-to-earth and fun they are together as a family! Kennedee stole the show with her adorable little self and made sure to approve of every picture Erica took! Nothing wrong with that, just keeping us accountable to her working as our model! 😉 And we have to hand it to Chauncey for being such a good sport and wearing a sweater in our not-so-cool 96° fall weather just so he could look festive for their holiday photos!
