The whole family had gathered together. They were huddled on the steps of the outdoor amphitheater holding back shivers as they smiled for a traditional family portrait. Jon was doing his job, capturing frame after frame. Then, things got interesting. The only problem with outdoor amphitheaters for family photos? Little boys (and heck, even big ones like Jon!) think that hikers and mountain bikers are FAR more interesting that photos. So what do you do to get a two and a half year old boys attention? Throw marshmallows of course! Jon was defenseless as he looked through his viewfinder snapping photos and Erica started pegging him with marshmallows! But the result was something he couldn’t be upset about. It brought out the BIGGEST smile on little Dexter’s face!
Our session with the Buns and Hill families was special. It was our final session of 2017! But it was also special because their entire family was back together for Christmas! There is something so impactful about generational family photos. To see two people, Bob and Rosellen, beam with pride as they looked at what their love had built. You could see them smile as their grown children, John and Kate, stood together with their spouses. And you could see so much love in their eyes as they affectionately held their grandsons. We are constantly reminded at what the love of just two people can do!
To the Buns and Hill families, we had such a FUN time with all of you! We were so thankful to be able to spend some time together with you to capture your entire family in their element! We loved hearing the laughter and seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces as we ended our time together in the golden light of the desert! As you part ways after the holidays and the new year begins, we hope that these photos remind you of your special family bond!
