From the moment we met they had us. The late afternoon air was beginning to cool off giving a hint of fall weather in the desert. The sun was getting low on the horizon. The golden light bathed the desert floor and made the creosote bushes glow as it trickled through. They approached us. All four of them. And our eyes fixed on the two little princesses making their way up to us with huge smiles on their faces! Their warm smiles and adorable confidence continued for the rest of our time together and made the entire session so sweet.
The Nielsen family was a joy to photograph. Ali and David have done an amazing job with their two little girls, and the love this entire family has for each other was evident in the way they hugged each other’s necks and played together during the photos! We will not forget the cutest reaction from Madeline when we pulled out on of our go-to kid tricks! We played ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ on Erica’s iPhone and the always reliable J.T. worked his magic!! Madeline couldn’t get enough and neither could we as she not only danced, but also sang along like a true performer! Her and Gwendoline in their tulle dresses dancing in the desert light was too much to handle and made for such a sweet moment. And with Jon off on an adventure hike with the girls collecting rocks, Erica was able to sneak Ali and David away for some lovely photos of just the two of them!
