Hi there, friends! Wow! It’s been a while hasn’t it? At least it seems that way to us. Between our insane shooting schedule over the last few weeks and the four days we’ve been gone at a conference this week (more on that in a later blog), it feels like we’ve been the friend who doesn’t show up to dinner! Good news? We’re back, and so excited to share some of the things we’ve been working on!
When Chase and Katelyn made plans to visit Arizona from Texas, they wanted to make sure their trip with their beautiful daughter Addison was captured forever! They had their trip planned perfectly, visiting all of the spots us locals rarely visit ourselves! They made sure to take time in Sedona, visit the Grand Canyon, and of course stayed at the beautiful Biltmore Resort. We were so thrilled to be able to meet them and spend just a little bit of time together during their vacation to capture beautiful family portraits in the desert!
The Richter family has a ranch in West Texas, so they know desert. But we wanted to show them a side of the desert unique to Arizona, which of course meant saguaro cacti! Our time together was the perfect balance of an amazing location, always dependable soft desert light, and a whole lot of patience from Katelyn and Chase as poor little Addison was feeling under the weather. Jon, the designated smile producer when we work with kids, tried his best to sing and pull a smile out of her sweet little face, but it was obvious that he only succeeded in making her a little more nervous! Luckily, Erica was able to save the day and sing songs as she held Addison while Jon captured beautiful portraits of Katelyn and Chase together!
Katelyn, Chase and Addison, we hope your Arizona vacation was incredible! We enjoyed every moment of the time we were able to spend with you three, and hope you love your sneak peek! We hope they give you a little reminder of your time here every time you see them! 🙂
