We were shooting beautiful details at The Paseo when he handed us a letter and asked us to deliver it to the bride. Although we were planning to finish scouting the venue for portrait locations, we held back for the moment. As Erica handed it off to Michelle, she watched and captured the emotions as her eyes welled up with joyful tears. It was from the man she was about to call her husband, and her reaction told us all we needed to know about what was written inside.
This was a very special wedding for us, as Erica and Michelle have been friends since childhood. Michelle looked absolutely beautiful in her high neck lace dress and there was something special about having her wedding take place at the foot of the Superstition Mountains. Michelle grew up at the base of those mountains, so having them as a backdrop to the most important day of her life was almost as stunning as she was!
As close friends, it makes us incredibly happy to see her find happiness in Jaimeson, and he looked pretty dapper for his big day too! His burgundy euro-cut suit and floral patterned shirt brought all of his personality to their day in the classiest way! We could tell from the moment he arrived that he was there with only two things on his mind – marrying the woman of his dreams and enjoying time with the people he loved the most.
The Paseo looked jaw dropping with it’s elegant simplicity and the eucalyptus greenery and florals by Lace & a Barn brought the perfect touch to the ceremony and reception decor. But despite the physical beauty of Michelle and the elegance of their venue and decor, the most attractive things we saw on their wedding day were their hearts. In the middle of their bride and groom sunset portraits on their wedding day, they asked us to stop and take photos with them. It showed us what we already knew – these two have big, big hearts, and they consider relationships as the most important things they have.
Michelle and Jaimeson, wow! What can we say?! We are beyond happy and excited for you two. Michelle, you were my first model when I took photos of you with my disposal camera in the woods on camping trips. And now being able to photograph your wedding was a true honor for us both (and thankfully I’ve upgraded my camera since the days in the woods). And Jaimeson, we love seeing how well you love Michelle and knowing the story of how persistent you were to make it official and put a ring on it! The story of your engagement proposal always has us laughing! Speaking of your engagement, way to bring back those posing skills from your engagement session on your wedding day – you guys were total champs! Here’s to two amazing people and a long, love-filled life ahead!
