If you missed it, a couple of months ago we blogged about the privilege we had to work with a local, family owned Italian restaurant, Babbo Italian Eatery. We enjoyed our time with them so much! The food, the restaurant, and the family that runs it are equal parts amazing! So when we spoke with them about their visions for the next branding session, we couldn’t wait to get back together with them!
For this session, we were focused on creating images to celebrate the upcoming seasons and events in the first quarter! We targeted Valentine’s day, Super Bowl, and Spring Training! To us, Valentine’s day screams Italian food, so it all just felt so right! Another fun event we wanted to highlight was bikes and beers! Sounds strange you say? Their new location is opening February 2018 at Talking Stick not far from many of the Spring Training fields. Many customers like to bike to the restaurant to enjoy a drink before and after the game, and with bike share startups popping up all over Scottsdale, it’s sure to only increase! Our models had super cute beach cruisers that we featured in the shots outside of the restaurant and we have to say, it looks like such a fun and cute idea!
We also really enjoyed a special project we had for this session. We were asked to provide flat lays with seasonal ingredients while leaving negative space for advertisements. We had what felt like the entire kitchen pantry emptied out onto our prep table as we organized the ingredients into seasonal spreads. As you all know, neither one of us are worth our weight in the kitchen, so we had the experts help us compile the ingredients for each shot! Seriously, after photographing (and eating) so much of their food, we have to say that Babbo Italian Eatery is a new favorite of ours. And we aren’t saying that just because they are our clients. We promise, if you give them a visit, you’ll be hooked the second they bring the bread to the table!
