It’s Friday! Cue that really high-pitched and persistent song with the same lyric!! (Actually, please don’t! Please!)Even though we work from home, we still look forward to Fridays and the weekend. We love our family time together, so when Brody is out of school and we aren’t shooting, you’d better bet we soak up all the time we can! And everyone everywhere knows that Friday is a day for fun. In the workplace, Fridays are always more laid back, lunch breaks take a little bit longer, and the work days seem to end a few minutes earlier than usual, don’t they?! Even Brody’s uniform school lets the kids wear jeans and a tee shirt on Friday to celebrate the pre-weekend weekday!
So, in celebration of the fun we have on Fridays, we decided to bring you a new blog series, our ‘Friday Top Five!’ It’s a collection of everything that made up our week. They may be big or small, interesting or completely irrelevant, but either way it’s a look ‘behind the scenes’ at what we enjoyed from our week together. We can’t wait to share with you and hope you’ll find some joy and smiles to launch you into the weekend!
– We had our family photos taken!! We detailed our time on the blog earlier this week, so if you missed it, check it out here! But we are totally in love with the sneak peek of the photos we received!
– Brody & Paislee got to experience their first Diamondbacks game! We were so excited when our friends text us the night before the game and invited us to go with them. We survived all 9 innings which meant that we had 2 zombies the next day who were on a cotton candy hangover and recovering from nightmares from the big bobble-head guys, but it was so worth the fun and memories that were made!
– Erica’s parents are here and they’re here for good!! They moved back from Washington (which is a story that deserves a more detailed story telling at another time) but they drove in on Wednesday and are our roomies for the next 2 weeks!
– Insert the salsa dancin’ emoji because we got a Blanco Taco fix this week!!
– We successfully completed our very first week of blogging every. single. day. Woohoo! Yes, that’s right! We are now blogging Monday through Friday and we hope you have enjoyed the first week of it. We’d love to hear from you guys on what you’ve liked and what you’d like to hear more on so feel free to leave comments below!
