As I was getting ready for my morning session, Jon jokingly asked me if I was nervous picking out my outfit knowing that I was going out to photograph a fashion blogger. Without skipping a beat I said, “Yep!” I mean, can you blame me? I ended up deciding to go with the better-safe-than-sorry method and wore jeans, a t-shirt with a cozy cardigan, and white chucks.
Cute.
Simple.
And always popping up on Pinterest so I knew I would be rockin’ a style, even if it wasn’t the most fashionable one.
Truthfully, I didn’t need to think twice about what I was wearing. If I would have shown up in a clown costume Michelle would have still be just as sweet and accepting to me as she would be if I came wearing all of her Nordstrom top picks. That’s just who she is. Her kindness is one of the first things that let me know she was one of our ideal clients. And yes, she definitely is kind enough that if I ever dared to come to her session wearing a clown costume, she would be honest and tell me to never do that again…but you get what I’m saying.
Our ideas for this branding session for her fashion blog came together perfectly! We hopped around to many of the awesome spots in Old Town Scottsdale and ended her shoot at the one and only – Ruze Cake House! Michelle initially discovered us from an Instagram post she saw of us tagged in on Ruze’s page so it was really fun for us to go there together! We had plenty of delicious treats and took so many awesome Valentine Day themed photos for her blog.
Gaining a new client in Michelle has been awesome, but she’s really become so much more than that! Learning new fashion tips along the way (like wearing brown, black and grey all at once is totally acceptable since they’re all neutrals) has been a big bonus! And making a new friend who shuts down Pita Jungle with me because we sit and talk for over two hours, is the best!
